Audit Sponsor

Role Summary

The Audit Sponsor is responsible for ensuring any audit on the management system audit schedule, where they are named as sponsor is planned, performed and reported in line with this process.

The sponsor shall develop the scope of planned audits and ensure relevant personnel and data are made available to the management system auditor/s as required.

When developing the scope of an audit, the sponsor should ensure it is representative of the particular operation under review and recognise any relevant issues, concerns or past findings that may have a bearing on the audit. On conclusion of the audit they shall ensure any corrective actions are assigned to a corrective action implementer with the relevant skills and knowledge to resolve the deficiency or deficiencies.
