The objective of this process is to assess and validate the competency of employees who are responsible for activities outlined in the safety management system and where deficiencies are defined appropriate learning arrangements are defined for each individual.
This process manages the competency of all employees responsible for conducting roles as defined in the Safety Management System and those of which have specific competency requirements.
This process is triggered by a schedule review of competency or as requested by an employee or when an employee is taking on a new role defined in the Safety Management System.
